  We ordered the escarole salad, the Salsiccia pizza, the broccoli raab, and the pork chop. Good amount of food for two. We sat at the counter and wanted our pizza get made. Lovely service by a Scottish or Irish guy. Can't remember exactly.

  I had a very positive experience with Bella. It was after my college graduation and I had some relatives in from out of town. Everything was closed and we walked into Bella. When the management heard we came from a graduation they sat us even though they were short on time. The food was very fresh and the preparation was top-notch. It's hard to find a restaurant with a well-balanced combination of atmospherics and charm and Bella was very comfortable. I recommend the gnocchi.

  This place is always super highly recommended, but every time I have eaten here it has been only okay. the pizza is fine, but delfina pizzeria in the mission, and on fillmore is much better. for the price and the reputation i was let down.
