  This place is great. They have incredible BBQ, the biscuit sandwich is my recommendation. There is a full service bar inside. Note that the whole place is cash only. Bring at least $20.

  When I moved to San Francisco 10 years ago, this was one of he first places I tried. It was inexpensive, delicious and fast. 10 years later Tommy Joint delivers the same quality BBQ brisket, salad, veggies or mash.
  
  Went here last night and for 12.95 + tip I got myself the tastiest dinner I could think of.
  
  Bar offers cheap cocktails and draft beers.

  In case anybody hasn't noticed the new ownership is slowly destroying what once was the last great meal deal of San Francisco.
  Just 4 months ago the turkey leg plate came with one scoop stuffing, side salad and a roll for the great price of $7.50. Now the SAME EXACT ORDER is $13.90!!
  The reason is they are now charging separately for the side salad and roll. I could tolerate a modest increase to around $9 or $10, but a increase of $6.40 is outrageous considering the cost was $7.50 just a few months ago. Plus everyone knows the food at Tommy's is decent at best. The great draw was decent food, good portions at great prices. Those days are over. So long Tommy's Joynt.

  Fantastic basic simple good food. Reasonable prices. Your local go to honest Ole style restaurant. Travelers frequent this SF institution !
