  Some of the most exquisite and unique sweets and savory baked goods in mission district. However I found the discription tastier than the actual pastry. It was still good but I had a better ginger scone at no name bakery a few years ago and I didnt really taste the earl gray in it.

  Went to this bakery during a food tour of the Mission district in San Francisco. Was blown away. Most everything looked too good to eat. It was more of a art show but everything was edible. The Rebel Within is out of the world.

  Rebel within is a must try -- muffin with soft boiled egg inside. Their pastries are also a notch above all others. Tip: they don't display them, but they also have salads and sandwiches on the menu.

  Beautiful space, charming staff willing to explain how they make all the amazing looking desserts and creations. Try the Sipping Chocolate: the perfect amount of rich, thick and dark chocolate served with two seasonal marshmallows (blackberries in our case). Decent teas and served nicely in teapots which is always nice. On the baked goods front, we only sampled the raspberry corn scone (delicious!) but there was so much else I wanted to try, had I not been full from lunch! Music was a tad loud but I think I am getting old so what do I know :)
